Terms of sale

The olive oil, olives and soap on this site come from our family’s grove in Kfarhata, Koura, North Lebanon. We sell them ourselves: when you order, your contract is with our family, Semaan Lands, in Kfarhata. SSS Tech manages this website for us; it does not sell anything.

This season we sell in Beirut and the Metn only, for delivery or pickup there.

Prices are in US dollars. A delivery in Beirut or the Metn costs $5, paid with your order when it arrives; pickup is free. We agree the day with you after you order.

You pay a deposit of 50% of the order by card to hold it, on this site or through a card link we send you. You pay for the order in cash or by card when you receive it, and we then return the deposit to your card. Card payments are taken by Stripe on its own checkout page, and we never see or store your full card number.

You can send us your order from your basket on Instagram or by email, and we reply to confirm it, send you a card link for the deposit and agree delivery or pickup. Your order is placed when your deposit is paid: on this site, when Stripe accepts it and you see our order confirmation.

If something you ordered turns out to be sold out, or a price on the site was wrong, we will tell you and refund your deposit for it in full.

The deposit holds your order: we set your oil, olives or soap aside for you and agree a day to deliver it or for you to pick it up in Beirut or the Metn. Once you have your order and have paid for it, we return the deposit to your card. Your bank may take a few days to show it.

If you cancel your order, or you do not take it on the day we agreed and do not set a new day with us within 7 days, the order is cancelled and we keep the deposit. If we cannot deliver your order, or cannot keep the day we agreed and no other day suits you, we refund the deposit in full.

Delivery in Beirut and the Metn for $5, or free pickup. We agree the day with you by message. The details are on delivery and returns.

If something arrives damaged, or we sent you the wrong thing, tell us within 14 days of delivery and send a photo. We will replace it or refund it.

Oil and olives are a harvest food, and each harvest is a little different in colour and taste. Each jar carries the month it was filled.

Our olive-oil soap is sold as soap, for cleansing, and we make no other claim for it.

The words and photos on this site belong to our family and to SSS Tech. Please ask before you use them elsewhere.

As far as the law allows, our responsibility for an order is limited to what you paid for it. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the law.

If we change these terms, we will update them here and change the date at the top. The terms that apply to your order are the ones shown on the day you placed it. How we handle your data is set out in our privacy policy.
